Established in 2012, Rustique Catering is the brainchild of husband & wife duo, Bradshaw & Simone Jooste. Following 2 philosophies in their approach to food; simplicity and creativity. With a family of food lovers influenced by the Cape Malay cuisine boasting plenty of bold, vibrant flavours and loads of attitude, Bradshaw cooks with his senses and lets the ingredients speak for themselves.
We will take you through the complete process from design and concept to inception & setup ahead of your event. Our environmental impact is something we care very much about, that is why our menus are based on seasonal ingredients locally and sustainably sourced where possible not compromising on flavour and presentation.
We know you can’t always take your office to a restaurant, so we’ll bring the restaurant to you in the privacy of your own office or boardroom. We’ll create a tailored meal option for your specific needs to cater for Directors lunches, client entertaining or office parties. Chef and director Bradshaw, has over 18 years’ experience in the catering & restaurant industry. Trained in Cape Town & London, his experience spans many industries and various events. He’s worked with kitchen teams big & small; in boutique restaurants, publishing houses, retail & corporate head offices throughout London & surrounding areas.
With a qualification in Accounting, a background in event co-ordinating and a self-taught baker, Simone makes the perfect accompaniment to this duo.

I’ve had the pleasure of catering by Rustique on more than one occasion, food is always delicious, well thought out, healthy whilst tasty and variety too. 10 out of 10. Would recommend this friendly, efficient professional catering company to anyone looking for caterers.
Simone and Bradshaw were amazingly helpful in the build up to my event. Bradshaw came up with a menu that catered for all guests and they stuck to the budget. On the day their team were super friendly, very helpful and the food was absolutely delicious. I have booked them again for my event this year!
Rustique Catering were professional and exceptional. The food and service they provided for my special occasion were outstanding. This was the first time I’d used caterers and I was holding a party at my house for 50+ people. They took charge of the whole catering process from preparing, serving and clearing. The chefs prepared and cooked the food using fresh ingredients on the day and the quality of the food was first class. Everyone enjoyed it. The party food provided by Rustique Catering was delicious, everything about the service was wonderfully smooth and efficient, and inexpensive for such a high standard. Mainly presented as finger food and easy to eat for guests milling about and talking, my friends were very impressed, including one gluten free guest. At all stages Rustique were a pleasure to deal with; they always got back to me quickly with answers to questions, and on the day they just took over the kitchen, even offering to help with flowers into vases, and the topping up of drinks.
Simone and Bradshaw of Rustique Catering were instrumental in helping make my husbands 50th birthday party a smash success. With very late notice, and zero idea of what to serve, Rustique were able to provide creatively delicious appetisers, beautiful flatbreads and upscale bowl food for over 60 guests! Everyone raved about the food (many helping themselves to seconds) and the gorgeous energy that they brought while preparing, serving and even tidying up. We were lucky enough to indulge in Rustique’s fare once again last June, at our local tennis club’s Summer party. Food and service, once again, were excellent…as expected. I would happily insist that you give them a try for any culinary occasion that you may have.
I used these guys for my 30th and they were brilliant. Not only was the food delicious the service was great, as I didn’t have to worry about a thing on the night. These guys are a family run business which enables them to offer you a bespoke service with a “Michelin” quality flare. Will be using these guys for any future functions.

I purchased an afternoon tea for a friends birthday in lock down and she was over the moon. Ordered an afternoon tea for my Nan’s birthday. Simone was really responsive to our emails and was able to meet all of our requirements. The delivery was excellent. They were able to deliver to the door of my Nan’s flat in a tower block, which was really appreciated and definitely went the extra mile. The presentation was beautiful and the food was delicious! It was a really lovely treat for our family after lockdown! It was also really appreciated to receive an email from Rustique Catering after the delivery to share photos and confirm that all was received by my Nan. I purchased this as a birthday gift for my cousin for home delivery for her birthday because of lockdown. I ordered two portions and Rustique were kind enough to be flexible on one of the options I wanted to change. My cousin loved it, said it was presented beautifully and was extremely tasty, I would definitely recommendation and order again!!!

I cannot describe how happy we were with the service and food that was provided by Simone and Rustique Catering. From the presentation to the quality of the food, it was beyond what we expected. The food was so unbelievably fresh and the flavours were amazing. It has to be one of the best tasting afternoon teas I have ever had. Sometimes I find that the bread can be a bit dry, from exposure, but this was not an issue at all. The sandwiches also came with sausage rolls and mini-quiches. So delicious. My husband loves the savoury side of an afternoon tea, so appreciated the extra course of cheese. I would not hesitate to refer the company to my friends and also use their services again. The communication leading up to the event was also excellent and I never worried about the product no showing up. Absolutely amazing customer service from this local service. Rustique catering has provided catering for a number of events for us. The food is fantastic, the range of cuisines RC caters is extremely diverse, and the team is absolutely the best. Chef Bradshaw in particular is amazing and has become part of our family. His Braai, Indian meal, BBQ, Moroccan Meal, Katsu curry, and DESSERTS are all spectacular! The team is great as well, always have a smile and go above and beyond to accommodate. Do not hesitate with Rustique, Chef Bradshaw will NOT disappoint.
Having originally planned to go out for afternoon tea for my birthday and lockdown cancelling my plans, I decided to order one for delivery instead. Having looked at a few, I was drawn to Rustique as they had excellent review and the food looked delicious from the pictures. I chose the pescatarian afternoon tea for 3 people. I’m so glad I did as the food was absolutely delicious and exceeded my expectations. I would definitely order from them again. We ordered dinner & a birthday cake for my daughter’s first birthday from Rustique Catering. I’m quite particular and fussy when it comes to food, but all I can say is WOW! I cannot fault anything! The starter was Burrata, pistachio pesto, parmesan and thyme grilled sourdough. Mains were braised short rib, creamy truffle mash, chard heritage carrots and sautéed kale. The veggie option was a spinach & mushroom Wellington. Normally there’ll be one hero in a dish, but in this case, every element stood out! The red velvet naked cake was the perfect ending to the night. Light, moist & deliciously scrumptious. We cannot wait to use their services again very soon. My nan turned 70 in February and myself and my siblings and cousins wanted to still make the day special for her as we weren’t able to go and celebrate with her due to lockdown restrictions. We found Rustique online and their food looked delicious so we ordered an afternoon tea to be delivered on her birthday for her and my grandad. Everyone I spoke to at Rustique were very polite and friendly and involved in making the day so special. My nan shed a tear when she received it and she said it was really tasty! It was my partner’s birthday and a friend recommended Rustique to organise a special meal. We all love good food and we wanted to try something different. I contact Bradshaw and he was one of the nicest person I’ve spoken to and gave advise about the various dishes including the wines. We had a few selection of starters, main course and dessert. In the end we chose a starter and a main course. My eldest daughter and I were excited. The food arrived on time and the instructions to heat up the food was on point. The food was delicious, fresh and quantity was satisfying. I called Bradshaw after we had our meal and praised him for a wonderful meal and to top of off, speaking to the chef was special. My partner was so happy that he said it was top draw. We’ll recommend Rustique to anyone. Excellence 🎩
I cannot recommend Rustique catering highly enough. We used them for afternoon tea in a marquee for my sons wedding. They provided a wonderful choice of very good quality food and displayed very attractively. The service was amazing and very very professional. Simone & Bradshaw catered for us yesterday at an anniversary get together. The food was absolutely delicious, as was the presentation. They also catered for 5 little ones – food being equally super. We hired Rustique at quite short notice for our wedding reception after a last minute cancellation at our venue and they were very accommodating. We had their afternoon tea and added the wagyu beef, chicken skewers and fruit platter and it was all delicious. Very professional and friendly staff
I recently organized a Ladies Afternoon Tea for some friends to reunite after lockdown. Rustique Catering were recommended by a friend, who has very high standards, and we were not disappointed. Firstly, I appreciated Simone’s prompt, helpful responses to my enquiries. The service was excellent and the afternoon tea was amazing. We particularly loved the little quiches and sausage rolls where the the pastry was so light and tasty. The scones were homemade and really fluffy. Following all the sweet items we then enjoyed a delicious cheese board. I cannot recommend Rustique Catering highly enough and we all agreed that we would certainly be using them again. Simone responds to your messages instantly which was a big thing for me. She was so helpful choosing the menu for my daughters afternoon tea, especially for 2 who were gluten and bread intolerant. Everyone commented how amazing the food was and at first glance in the box it doesn’t look like there’s a lot, but there was more than enough to the point we saved some for later! Simone was very helpful in organising a family afternoon tea. One of the party had a severe allergy & this was easily catered for with a detailed list provided of all ingredients & allergens. Everyone was very complimentary.
I used Rustique Catering for my baby shower and wow – the spread and flavours were truly incredible. I wanted something more exciting than just sandwiches or pastry bites, and was so pleased when they provided me with a bunch of tasty options. In particular we all loved the arancini balls, lamb meatballs, and roast beef bun! The food was delivered promptly on time, set up, and cleared away at the requested time. I could not fault this service and would recommend it to everyone!
